Anine Bing is in the House

I can't tell you how many times I've searched for the perfect pair of leather pants.  Ones that would make me feel like Joan Jett & a bit of a BAD-ASS on days I feel like crap. I came across my all-time favorite pair from Balmain (which Kate Moss always wears) and I got soo excited! The excitement didn't last long when I saw the price tag, gulp. Hopes were dashed. Then, a few weeks ago.... I found a pair that looked quite similar, by Anine Bing. Let's just say I fell in love.

So.... I saved up & was able to get theAnine Bingleather pants. The price is still a bit steep, but good quality leather pants don't come cheap. I mean even the zippers are big & sturdy, love them. Call me CRAZY, but leather pants are a must in any wardrobe.

Do you own a pair of leather pants? Do you wear them casually or just on dress-up days?

The Scandi Muse

Hey Folks,

Let me introduce Anine Bing to you who has recently become my favorite person out in the fashion and blog area with her way of thinking, effortless edgy style and personal posts. Anine is Danish, having grown up in Sweden and currently living in L.A. She manages her own brand named after herself offering basic and wearable clothes combined with rock’n’roll-ish elements which I am just found of. Mum of two lovely kids. Singing in her music band. Just opened her flagship store in L.A.

The reason I find her blog close to my heart is the fact that she is able to keep it real and down-to-earth if you know what I mean. I have just stopped following a bunch of blogs because I couldn’t see the person behind the scenes anymore. Too much posing, too much…fake glamour. I guess. So I decided to downsize my daily list of followed sites just to make my life easier and ended up with approx. 3. Of course including Anine’s on the first place.

She is great at sharing bits and pieces of her and her family’s everyday life whether it’s design, beauty, holiday, favorite spots in L.A. or kids’ birthday parties. Don’t forget about her amazingly cool style, either.

Make sure to check out Anine’s blog. http://aninesworld.com/

Bye.

I have so man blazers- all of which I love. I've been collecting them throughout the years. Whenever it comes down to purging items in my closet, blazers never get added to the 'toss' pile because I love them all so much!

I saw this gorgeous Anine Bing blazer pop up a month or so ago and was drooling over it. The colors, the timelessness, everything about it!!! I was kind of surprised because I'm not really an Anine Bing girl... the line usually skews more trendy and edgy than in line with my more classic style.

Instead of paying the hefty $350 price tag, I found a beautiful blazer that is super similar and less than half the price. I wore it while I was in Charleston and it paired perfectly with these burgundy booties

The blazer makes me feel very chic and has a bit of an '80's vibe. I could picture an actress like Molly Ringwald wearing something like this!

I'm also wearing my all-time favorite dark wash skinny denim. They are super stretchy making them very comfortable and they are high waisted so they smooth you in all the right places. I've gotten so many friends and family on board with these jeans and everyone agrees that they are the best!

  • Anine Bing: Model, blogger, designer

Anine Bing got her first taste of the fashion industry when she began working as a model at the age of 15. She then turned to blogging, before recognising the power of Instagram shortly after it launched in 2010. Today, she has more than 830,000 followers on the platform.

She launched her womenswear label in 2012 with her husband, Nicolai Nielsen.

Her collections consist of elevated basics such as silk camisole tops and skirts, and distressed jeans. Retail prices range from $99 (£78.69) for a T-shirt to $499 (£396) for leather boots.

Anine Bing has 14 standalone stores across the US and Europe, including one in London’s Mayfair. The brand is also stocked by Harvey Nichols in Knightsbridge, Net-a-Porter, Farfetch and US womenswear ecommerce website Revolve.

Bing was born in Denmark but grew up in Sweden, and now lives in LA with husband and two children.

What’s the first thing you do in the morning?

I have always been a morning person. I like to wake up early, around 6am, so that I can take some time for myself to meditate and focus on my intentions for the day ahead.

Once the kids are awake, we normally have breakfast together, pack our bags and head out on the school run. At the moment, however, it’s breakfast and home-schooling in the kitchen. We are taking this time to slow down a little and spend quality time together as a family.

    What was your first job?

My very first job was when I lived in Sweden. I would cycle five miles every Sunday to a restaurant and clean before they opened. My parents never supported me financially, so I learned to work hard from an early age.

Later I started modelling from the age of 15, nearly a decade before I launched Anine Bing. I then started a blog when I was around 18 – it was before everyone had one! Through the blog, I saw that people really liked my style and had an interest in what I wore. I think they liked that I knew how to mix vintage and new pieces. That’s wh
