David Dhawan
Filmmaker David Dhawan was born in a Punjabi family with three siblings - two brothers Anil Dhawanand Ashok Dhawan and a sister Vanod Dhawan. While Ashok and Vanod are no more, David and Anil are leading a happy life with their kids and grandkids. David married Karuna Chopra with whom he has two sons - Rohit and Varun.
David's real name id Rajinder Dhawan. He changed his name to David while in FTII. He started off as an editor for the film Saaransh in 1984 before moving to direction. He is known for his comedy films, especially the ones starring Govinda. Aankhen, Shola Aur Shabnam, Partner, Raja Babu, Coolie No 1, Saajan Chale Sasural, Banarasi Babu, Hero No 1, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Haseena Maan Jayegi, Jodi No 1, Partner, Judwaa are some of his popular films.
