People: Valentino Rossi reveals he has an unsavory father

Valentino Rossi is the highest representative of a colorful family. The adage that good blood cannot lie, the Doctor takes stock of a rather special Father Graziano. The one who was recently hospitalized for neurological problems and who hit a pedestrian while driving his car is affectionately presented by the prodigal son as an authentic enthusiast over whom age has no influence...

The illustrious retiree Valentino Rossi talks about his father Graziano, who always accompanied him in his sporting career. Graziano was a pilot in his time, and this influence obviously carried over to the son who was not yet “Il Dottore”. In a statement to speedweek , Valentino speaks of his father thus: “ Its very important, he was sort of an iconic person in my life. I ride a motorcycle because he was a racing driver. He didn't push me, but his influence on me was very great. I watched it and always wanted to ride it myself ».

The father-son relationship is thus summarized by the titled ninefold: “ All our communications focus primarily on motorcycles. He wasn't a very good father...I mean...When I was with him, for him, acting was always riding a motorcycle. He never went to the park with me and he never played football with me. When we spent time together, he would look at me and say, “What do we do now?” Ah, I made a little motorbike; Here we are !'”.

Valentino Rossi: “ one thing i learned from my father is not to take everything too seriously«

The father was among those who did not want Valentino to retire. “ He pushed a lot in that direction. But I told him: 'Damn, Graziano… now I'm 42 and I've been driving for 25 years'. And he replied: “No, we must not stop! What do you want to do when you stop?' Another thing I learned from him, which is very important to me, is not to take everything too seriously. It's always like that. I learned this from Graziano ».

On February 16, 1979, Valentino Rossi was born in the Italian town of Urbino, the son of Stefanía Palma and Graziano Rossi, also a motorcycle racer. When he was still very young, they moved to Tavullia, where Rossi became interested in motorcycles. When he was only 11 years old, he won a regional championship, but what nobody imagined was that he would make history in the world of motorcycling, and now many consider him to be the best rider in the world.

    His childhood

From a very young age Valentino Rossi grew up in the pits of the circuits, as his father Graziano was also a World Motorcycle Championship rider and participated in a total of 48 races, of which he won three.

When Valentino was a child, his parents divorced and each had another son in 1997, on his mother's side Luca Marini, also a World Championship rider, and on his father's side, Chiara Rossi.

Since he was a little boy, Valentino followed his father's path and began to feel love for the motor world, he started racing with Kars when he was only nine years old and then he tried with the minibikes, until one day his father makes him choose. Valentino decided to stay with motorcycles and, so far, he has proved to the whole world that he was not wrong.

Little by little Valentino showed his father that he had all the necessary qualities to become a professional rider. When he was only eleven years old he made his first race with a minibike, and although he did not win, it was at this moment when he began his path in the world of motorcycling.

In 1992 he began racing in local and regional competitions and made his debut in 1993 in the Italian Sport Production Championship on a 125 cubic centimeter Cagiva. Only one year later he was proclaimed champion and was signed by the Sandroni-Aprilia team , with which he became Italian 125 cc champion in 1995 and third in the European Championship in the same category.
