‘Brassic’ To End After Seven Seasons On Sky

Hit Sky comedy Brassicis to end after seven seasons.

One of the pay-tv giant’s longest-running scripted shows has just rolled cameras on its finale, Sky announced in the past few minutes.

The unruly gang led by Joe Gilgun’s Vinnie and Michelle Keegan’s Erin Croft will go out with a bang, with even more of the madness and mayhem that fans have cherished over the years, it said.

Danny Brocklehurstand Gilgun’s show launched in 2019 and has become one of Sky’s most popular. It was recently snapped up by Netflixand did serious numbers for the streamer, as older British network shows proved a boon.     Che Dio ci aiuti (May God Help Us) is an Italian TV series that has been broadcast in Italy since December 15, 2011.

    Plot

    Sister Angela (Elena Sofia Ricci) is a nun at a convent based in Modena. When the convent encounters economic difficulties and risks closure, she decides to convert it into student accommodations featuring a bar, "L'Angolo Divino." even if her Mother Superior (Sister Costanza) didn't agree.

    The bar acts as a common space for many different people, especially students. Sister Angela speaks to them and learns about their daily lives, often helping to solve their problems.

    Season 1 largely focuses on crime solving, while in later seasons Sister Angela helps hospital patients. Though they often disapprove of Sister Angela's behavior, the Mother Superior and the lawyer Guido Corsi always end up helping her with her adventures.

    Primera temporada

    Sor Ángela, una ex prisionera que ha cambiado por completo su vida, vive en el convento de Los Ángeles de Módena, que corre peligro de cierre por falta de vocaciones y una serie de dificultades económicas. Entonces decide transformar el convento en un internado, con un bar adentro. Esta nueva situación da nueva vida al convento, que se convierte en un lugar de encuentro de diversos tipos de personas. La hermana Angela está particularmente apegada a tres niñas: Giulia, Azzurra y Margherita, con personajes y problemas completamente opuestos.

    Segunda temporada

    Después de que Giulia, Marco y Cecilia abandonaron el convento, la hermana Angela da la bienvenida a dos nuevas niñas al convento, Nina y Chiara, dos aspirantes a abogadas que viven en el internado con Azzurra y Margherita, que se han quedado en el convento. Precisamente por eso, también llega al internado Guido Corsi, profesor de la universidad dirigida por Giorgio, que trabaja como tutor de los alumnos que allí residen; persuadido por la hermana Angela, Guido toma en custodia a Davide, el hijo de 7 años que su exesposa tuvo de una relación extramatrimonial y que confió al cuidado de la hermana Angela en su lecho de muerte.

    Después de ser desalojadas de Módena, las monjas se mudaron a Fabriano, donde sor Angela comenzó a enseñar en una escuela secundaria. Mientras tanto llegan Davide, Azzurra y Guido, dispuestos a casarse, y Margherita y Emilio, esperando el nacimiento de su hija.
