I’m a homegirl, not a party lover –Oboli
Award-winning actress, Omoni Oboli, tells Ademola Olonilua about her life, family, and career
You recently celebrated your birthday; what are you grateful to God for?
Everything. There is nothing I have or have achieved that is not as a result of the blessing of God. I entered this industry with nothing, look at where I am now. I couldn’t have planned this. It’s all favour because there are so many more hardworking and talented people out there praying for just a simple opportunity, and here I am walking in it. I don’t take it for granted at all considering where I’m coming from.
You have been in the movie industry for so many years, was it always your dream to follow this path?
Definitely. It has always been my dream to be a player in the movie industry but I didn’t know to what extent my involvement and impact would be.
Nevertheless, I strived to do my best and I thank God that it has been duly rewarded. But I’ve had to do other things like cooking, selling clothes and working before I finally plunged into the movie industry.

I may have had it a bit tougher when I came back into the industry because at the time I had a family, and moving around wasn’t easy with children who were all still babies. But I thank God for where I am today.
How did you have your first major breakthrough in the movie industry?
Emem Isong gave me the first real opportunity and entrance into the film industry. It was from her movies I began to be recognised by many before I finally became an establ Person ♀ Real Name Pastor Funke Felix Adejumo Gender Female BIOGRAPHY READ ALSO; Full Biography Of Nollywood Actress Bisola Badmus & Other Facts About Her Funke Adejumo is a popularly known Nigerian pastor, author, marriage counselor, and humanitarian for her teachings/videos about marriages.
