In a beautiful gesture of humanity, by our very own reigning Miss World Beauty India Imlibenla Wati, who made history of being the first Naga lady to represent India at the Miss World Beauty Queen in South Korea, organised a charitable event on March 9 at the Slum areas of Dillai gate, Signal Basti and Railway lines in her humble effort of trying to light up the spirit of the underprivileged people who yearns for the basic things in life to survive.   Expressing her heart out with strong concern for the society, she appealed to the youths of Nagaland to make use of their time and come out of their comfort zone to explore the world of opportunities ahead. She pointed out that Naga youths should adopt work culture and put into practice dignity of labour and help develop the society.   While making special appeal to the women folks, Miss Imlibenla Wati strongly advocated on the beauty and strength of a women which shines more if education was provided to all. She highlighted upon the beauty and confidence of Naga women which is so commendable and high and emphasized on empowering every single women for proper and full development of the society in Nagaland.

It is a test of discipline, hardwork, intelligence, inner beauty and talent. We have seen many beauty queens being a movement of social changes. So does beauty pageants enhance a woman to discover her true powers? Here comes Imlibenla Wati, a small town girl with big dreams. She is our unconventional beauty queen. Her love for football, her passion for drums and her craze for bike makes her all the more fierce and amazing. She has generated enough storms in the circuit and has always brought laurels to our state. Her journey from Miss Mokokchung 1st Runner&#;s up to Miss Nagaland in the same year was enough to make us proud. She is the youngest Miss Nagaland till date. She became the first naga girl to win a national level pageant in RuBaRu Miss India Elite as Miss World Beauty. The recent buzz has kept us all captivated. She offers us never-ending surprises. She will be representing India as the Official Representative for Miss Asia. Pacific to be held in November. It was a pleasure to talk with her. Her energy was exuberant. 1. How do you feel representing India in a global platform- Miss Asia Pacific?

Imlibenla : After Miss Nagaland the only objective I wanted to seize beautifully was to claim a spot in the national arena. Most people in Nagaland are now familiar with her name. She has made history by becoming not only the first Naga girl to win a title at a ‘national level’ beauty pageant but also the first to get selected to compete at an international beauty contest. Imlibenla Wati was adjudged the Miss World Beauty Queen India at the recently held Ru Ba Ru Miss India Elite contest. She will be representing India at the Miss World Beauty Queen to be held in South Korea on a yet-to-be-declared date early next year.

The sweetheart of Mokokchung, she’s young, she’s gorgeous and she’s living her life to the fullest. But for those who watched her grow up, it comes as a rather big surprise to see her standing where she stands today. When girls her age picked the quintessential Barbie and played dress-ups, she picked the football and ran with the wind. As a kid growing up in Nagaland, music becomes a way of life and while most girls her age daintily picked up the microphone and honed their vocals, she picked the drumsticks and tamed the beast.

She is tall, gorgeous and fits the stereotypical image of a beauty queen and has the wit, brains and compassion that make her all the more lovable and quickly win people’s hearts. She doesn’t find it necessary to tone a truckload of makeup or have an everlasting fake smile plastered on her face. She is as real as it gets. From the soft lilting tone of her voice to her delicate hand gestures and demure expression, everything about her conveys ‘an unadulterated and God-fearing girl’ image. These striking traits of hers is infectious and may well be the reason why she was voted Miss Congeniality at the recently held Ru Ba Ru Miss India Elite contest where she won the title of Miss World Beauty Queen India.
