Nkechi O. Funso, fondly known as Nicky, is an accomplished entrepreneur, author, photographer, and business consultant whose life is a testament to purpose, resilience, and faith. As the founder of Naija Gourmet Foods, she seamlessly blends her culinary passion with cultural heritage, bringing the vibrant flavors of Nigeria to life through products like her renowned Naija Gourmet Stew. Beyond her professional pursuits, Nicky has been a guiding force in Glory of God Ministry International for over two decades, championing missions to uplift and empower communities. With her visionary spirit, she inspires excellence, navigates challenges with grace, and nurtures growth in both business and ministry. Exemplifying leadership, compassion, and integrity, Nicky’s impact resonates deeply—from her ministry work to her cherished roles as a wife, mother, and grandmother. Nkechi is a Sports Management Consultant with over 30 Years’ experience and accomplishments in sports management, marketing and administration.

Her experience spans a variety of projects especially with start-up operations in Marketing and Communication, Exhibition design and promotion, Event design and management, Media Content development and broadcast (Politics, Music and Sports), Political Media Campaign Management as well as Products Merchandising and Marketing.

Nkechi was in charge of the Team Nigeria project (2003-2007) – designed to harness private and public sector funding for the training and participation of Nigeria’s athletes at international multi-sport events such as the Olympics, Commonwealth Games and All Africa Games and a host of other events.

Over the past 30 years, she has also promoted capacity development in sports administration as a key component of sports development and has acted as Consultant on development of bespoke content and projects to government agencies such as the Federal Ministry of Sports / National Sports Commission), The Nigeria Police Force, The Nigerian Army, Kwara State Football Academy, The Nigerian Nationwide League One (the bedrock of grassroots football in Nigeria), as well as a host of blue-chip companies.

Nkechi has a B.Sc. and MBA from the University of Lagos.
