The Voice of Vietnam (Vietnamese: Giọng hát Việt) is a reality television singing competition created by Endemol. It premiered in Vietnam in July 2012 on Vietnam Television. The format is Dutch and the original Dutch version of the programme was broadcast in the Netherlands for the first time in 2010 as The Voice of Holland. The programme was commissioned after a successful first season in the United States, where it aired on NBC domestically and AXN Asia regionally. It is produced by Cát Tiên Sa.
Format
Contestants are aspiring singers drawn from public auditions. The show's format features three stages of competition. The first is the blind audition (vòng Giấu Mặt), in which four coaches listen to contenders without seeing them, and turn their chairs to signify that they are interested in working with that contestant. If more than one coach turns the chair, the contestant chooses the coach he or she would like to work with. The blind audition ends when each coach has fourteen (Vietnamese version) contestants to work with. Coaches will dedicate themselves to developing their singers, giving them advice, and sharing the secrets of their success. Since Season 5, the Blocks (chặn) are added. Coaches can block another coaches to prevent them from having an artist. In Season 6, coaches can press the block button even after they turned their chair but they can't block the special coach.

As Pham Huong, the Vietnamese representative at the 2015 Miss Universe, appears to be the biggest fan favorite in Vietnam’s history of sending its beauties to pageants around the world, take a closer look at the woman who steals millions of hearts inside and outside her country.
Huong, who joined 80 beauties around the world in the preliminary show in Las Vegas on Thursday, was voted No.1 on the Official Hot Picks released on December 14 by Missosology, the leading beauty pageant website that covers and analyzes the world’s four biggest beauty contests.
“Huong Pham is a consistent favorite. Everybody is talking about her and everybody is putting her in their list,” the website said.
“No doubt she is the best from Asia and the best from Vietnam to ever compete at Miss Universe.”
According to Missosology, fans even called the 24-year-old woman “Honey Lee version 2,” referring to the South Korean third runner-up of the Miss Universe pageant in Mexico in 2007.

Huong was born as Pham Thi Huong on September 4, 1991 in the northern Vietnamese city of Hai Phong.
The Vietnamese beauty has a BA in marketing and now lives in Ho Chi Minh City, where she teaches at the Saigon College of Arts, Culture and Tourism.
Huong used to study martial arts in high school, and was fit and healthy enough to become the first runner-up at the 2014 Miss World Sport, a beauty pageant in the framework of the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia.
In October 2015, Huong was crowned Miss Universe Vietnam in the finale taking place in the south-central city of Nha Trang.
Huong won the Vietnamese pageant with vital statistics of 78 – 63 – 93, but has since improved them to 80 – 59 – 90 to prepare for the 2015 Miss Universe.

Huynh Tran Thanh was born and raised in Ho Chi Minh City, his father is Chinese and his mother was born in Tien Giang, Vietnam. He can speak Vietnamese, Cantonese and English. He graduated from Cinematography School but he's commonly known as a television host. He won the 3rd prize for the 2006 TV show competition. He is able to mimic many voices; such as Lam Truong, Duy Manh, Thanh Lam, Hong Ngoc, Viet Anh, Thanh Loc, Viet Huong, Minh Nhi, Trung Dan and Le Thuy. Generally, the mimicking ability enabled him to easily works for voice role in many Vietnamese-adapted animation movies such as Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked, Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted, Despicable Me 2 and Turbo.
In January 2016, he joined Vietnam's Got Talent as a judge for its fourth season. Later, in May 2016, he was fined 32,5 million VND for playing a role in the comedy play "To Anh Nguyet Remix" (generated from To Anh Nguyet by Tran Huu Trang) in Paris By Night 116 show.
He married Vietnamese-Korean singer and actress Hari Won on December 25th, 2016 in Ho Chi Minh City.
